Hot Devilled Chicken

Ingredients

DICED BONELESS CHICKEN THIGHS OR BREAST- 500GMS

CHILLI POWDER – 1TSP

TURMERIC PWD – 1/2 TSP

LIME JUICE – 2TSP

COOKING OIL – 3TBLS

GINGER PASTE – 3TSP

GARLIC PASTE – 2TSP

DICED RED ONIONS SLICED – 150GMS

DICED RED AND GREEN BELL PEPPER – 100GMS

DICED LEEKS – 100GMS

DICED LONG GREEN PEPPERS – 50GMS (OPTIONAL)

DICED GREEN CHILLIES – 20GMS

DICED DRY RED CHILLI – 05GMS

DICED TOMATO – 50GMS

RED CHILLI FLAKES – 2TSP

TOMATO KETCHUP – 4TBLS

SOYA SAUCE – 4TBLS

SALT – TO TASTE

Method

  • Marinate the chicken dices with chili powder, turmeric powder, 2 tsp of soya sauce and 2 tsp of ginger paste, keep for 6-8 hours in the fridge.
  • Heat 2 tbls of oil in thick bottom frying pan, when the oil is very hot add the marinated chicken and saute on high heat. When the chicken pieces get coloured on both sides remove from pan.
  • Add the remaining oil in the pan add ginger and garlic pastes and fry lightly, add the dry red chili and fry, add the diced onions, bell peppers, long green peppers, green chili and diced leeks.
  • Add the cooked chicken and saute till the chicken is cooked.
  • Add the tomato ketchup, soya sauce, lemon juice and chili flakes, adjust seasoning if required.
  • Add the diced tomato and stir fry on high heat, serve hot with basmati rice.
